Made to win on the race track – Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport
We are used to seeing various vehicles in our Kurbads logistics center, but the aggressive and at the same time appealing looks of this car made everybody to notice it. The Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport is a proper race car, built for one purpose – to be the fastest car in closed racing circuits, leaving opponents far behind!
Porsche earned their spot in automotive history books with sports cars constructors, adding SUVs and sedans in the latest years, but the company never forgot their roots – track only race cars with roll cage, six point safety belts, slick tires and racing seats. Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport is non-street legal and can be used only in race tracks.
It is an enhanced version of the 911 GT2 RS – the most powerful road-approved 911 to date – built for the race track. Its performance: even more uncompromising. Its territory: the race track. And rightly so. Its a perfect combination of impressive power coupled with elements of a thoroughbred race car – it accelerates super fast, stops momentarily and has a tremendous grip in the corners.
The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport is powered by a 700hp 3.8-litre six-cylinder aluminium twin-turbo horizontally opposed engine, and can deliver maximum performance precisely where required, thanks to its optimized intercooler with redesigned supply and return air feed. The separately adjustable compression and rebound stages of the three-way shock absorbers on the front and rear axle allow steering response, tyre grip and handling characteristics to be adapted to various track profiles. This not only ensures total precision on every circuit, but also maximum control when driving at the limits at the track.
The “Clubsport” edition is around 80 kg lighter than the street model. Consistently lightweight bodywork thanks to the use of carbonfibre reinforced plastic on the roof, front lid, front apron, doors, tail section and rear lid, as well as the elimination of any unnecessary weight in the interior. Further aerodynamic improvements were tested in the wind tunnel, resulting in a larger rear wing and additional flics on the front apron. This ensures increased downforce and provides excellent stability during rapid load changes.
Only 200 cars will be produced in the limited edition. Price? Approximately 400 000 EUR.
The new 911 GT2 RS Clubsport conveys the will to win from every angle!
